The 32M took pride of place, dominating the boardwalk area and providing a magnificent centre piece for the whole show.  The first 32M was launched at London last year and at 105 feet (32 metres) marked the Plymouth boat builder’s entry into the superyacht arena. This year she is also the prelude of what is to come as the company prepares to launch their largest vessel to date this Spring.

The 32M is a remarkably accomplished long range cruising yacht, with an authoritative style and engineered to the highest sea-going standards. Her huge saloon features vast windows to each side and sliding doors leading out to a drop-down balcony to starboard which gives the entire main deck the benefit of a spectacular open vista.  Offered with four or five guest cabins, her owner’s suite is located on the main deck benefitting from large windows providing excellent views on both port and starboard sides and an equally impressive bathroom forward with spacious shower and separate whirlpool bath. Below deck, a full-beam VIP suite is also truly imposing and there is an additional double guest cabin on the port side, with a roomy twin to starboard, reached via an impressive central lobby.

There is unprecedented scope for an owner to personalise and specify to their own requirements, owners who enjoy cruising with larger groups or those with an eye on the charter market, can opt for the five-cabin layout, with two double guest suites in place of the palatial midships VIP.  There is a large double suite forward to port and a twin-berth to starboard, also ensuite. The broad section amidships, some 23ft (7m) wide, can either be fitted out as a stupendous VIP stateroom, complete with dressing table, walk-in wardrobe and full-size bathroom - or as a symmetrical pair of en-suite double cabins.

The 32M is one of the largest hulls in the world to have been produced using resin infusion technology, significantly reducing overall vessel weight and so improving performance and range.  The inclusion of a state-of-the-art control and monitoring system previously reserved for much larger vessels also makes the 32M one of the most highly specified yachts of this size range creating a unified package that is both ergonomic and intuitive to use whilst visually stunning.

The launch of the 32M heralded the dawn of a new era for Princess Yachts, and a distinct horizon for the brand.  Approval has now been gained to transform the company’s South Yard site through a £40 million+ investment programme and create an industry leading superyacht manufacturing facility.  Hull number 6 of the 32M and hull 1 and 2 of the company’s new 40 metre tri-deck flagship are already in build on the new site and, with continued investment planned for the development of new product across the entire size range, all points to a very bright future for the brand.
