Volvo has developed a joystick control in conjunction with their stern drive systems, which has previously only been available with IPS drives. This has involved a redesign of the engine configuration and outdrives themselves, which leaves the legs operating independently in order to achieve greater maneuverability when docking or operating in confined spaces. This system is so efficient that it leaves bowthrusters redundant and therefore they are not fitted

This 2nd boat however is the first of the new Princess P62 to be fitted with the all-new gyro stabilizer which has proven to be an extremely effective mechanism indeed.
